AKASHA is a Matrix 76 luxury catamaran built in 2004 and refitted in 2014. This is a fabulous boat in every way, but it is Akasha's crew that especially stands out and wins our favourite crew award. Captain Oswaldo and Chef Briar come from Mexico and New Zealand respectively, and are a fantastic couple who will sweep you off your feet with their charm. Oswaldo is a born leader whose professional approach will instantly make you feel at ease, as will his delightfully warm and outgoing character. And the synergy between him and Chef Briar (who is sure to delight you with her delicious cuisine) makes up the soul of this boat that brings it to life. We had a delicious meal aboard Akasha during the boat show (see pictures below: Tomato mozzarella caprese salad, Lobster tail served with mixed salad, tarragon dressing and avocado salsa and Tia Maria mousse topped with fresh fruits and raspberry coulis), and we were not surprised when Chef Briar won the 1st place at the show's culinary competition in the appetizer/salad category.
XENIA 74, Xenia is the word 'hospitality' in Ancient Greek, and the word is used to describe the courtesy and generosity of a host towards his guest. Xenia 74 is a Privilege Alliaura built in 2012, with a major refit in 2015. She accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 cabins, and was nominated best multihull over 56 feet at the BVI Boat Show 2015 in Tortola. We were really impressed with her spectacular master cabin (complete with Jacuzzi tub) that occupy the entire forward section of the yacht. Xenia 74's crew, Captain Gareth and Chef Kristine, will make you feel at home from the moment you step aboard. We were delighted to enjoy a lovely meal of fresh pasta with fruits, lobster and a delicious cream dessert (see pictures).
FOXY LADY is a Lagoon 62 catamaran, which was last year's best multihull over 56 feet. Once again, we were impressed by our visit, and the professional and welcoming atmosphere you feel as soon as you step on board. This boat was launched in 2011 and is maintained in pristine condition. Foxy Lady has a bright and airy design with exceptional living spaces, and is very popular among clients due to her nice and friendly crew. Captain Grant remains in charge of Foxy Lady, assisted by Tara, the boat's former chef, who will continue to put her Master Diver and Scuba Diving Instructor qualifications to good use. The exciting news on Foxy Lady this year is the addition of a new crew member, Tyler Dawson, who is a recognised chef and baker in the BVI, and who will be taking charge of delighting guests with his delicious and creative dishes.
LONDON SKY is a newly launched Lagoon 62 that represents the latest achievement in catamaran design. She can acommodate up to 8 guests in four queen-berth suites all with en-suite bathrooms. She has an open and airy saloon and a comfortable flybridge. The combination of a stylish and practical yacht with an experienced crew makes London Sky a superior charter experience. She has a great selection of water toys including a custom inflatable water slide.
VACOA is an immaculate Lagoon 620, launched in 2014 accommodating up to 10 guests in 5 queen cabins with en-suite bathrooms and separate showers. Captain Xavier is a true people person and a knowledgeable captain with a lot of experience on the water. Chef Christine draws from a background of working in fine French restaurants, to create a variety of dishes that are sure to delight. In fact she has won several culinary awards at different BVI boat shows, including this year. Hostess Claire is the perfect assistant to complete this trio, and will leave no stone unturned to make sure you have a lovely and memorable stay on board Vacoa.
